We at Scott Robinson Plumbing & Drainage Pty Ltd have been using MySkillsManager for a few years now setting it up to suit the way our business operates in conjunction with Peter Brown who has been an important part of why it has been so successful in the running and recording of our jobs on a day to day basis.

The reduction in paperwork has been enormous, the record keeping and history of jobs is much more accurate and accessible from anywhere, and not to mention that all WHS aspects are covered all on the one site.

While Sydney Water was upgrading the area to a new sewer connection, we contracted Peter Brown Plumbing Services to connect up the new sewer at our house in Galston. He used the MYSkillsManager software and website to keep me up to date throughout the project, as I work in the city and was unable to attend the works in person.

 I had constant updates on the progress of Sydney Water's activities, Peter's activities as well as the inspection by Fair Works that Peter coordinated. This included documents such as the Certificate of Compliance and Sewer Service Diagram, which provided instant access to these key documents and allowed me save them on my own computer.

Through the sharing of onsite photos provided by Peter, he was not only able to share the progress visually, but could also share images of some broken pipes which needed to be fixed before the connection could be completed. This allowed me to provide the go ahead immediately for the extra works, even though I was not on site. This prevented the need for the works to be suspended. In total there were around 20 updates provided over 2 days.

Peter Brown Plumbing came to site to perform a small repair. 

When I was presented with MySkillsManager I couldn’t believe how efficient and time preserving this digital format really is. It’s a logical tool which takes the legislative aspect of High Risk Work and converts it into a practical on the job package any business could benefit from.
